We are a multidisciplinary research group dedicated to understanding the environmental quality of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Our work combines advanced analytical techniques with an integrated view of contaminant dynamics in the environment.

Our research brings together students and scientists from different fields who work collaboratively to answer complex questions about metals and metalloids in the environment: where they are, in what forms they occur, how they interact with organisms, and what risks they pose.

We develop analytical methods and apply sensitive, modern tools to investigate processes ranging from chemical speciation to the bioavailability and toxicity of trace elements in soils, waters, and organisms.
